FEMA Issues Overview
FEMA has released an official bulletin on the implementation of the Homeowners Flood Insurance Affordability Act of 2014. According to the bulletin, FEMA’s initial priority is assess potential changes to the NFIP’s business practices to stop additional rate increases for certain subsidized policyholders and to work with Write Your Own carriers to issue refunds for some policyholders who were impacted by subsidy phase outs.
