Agenda and Presenters-2025

Meet our Presenters

Angela Schalow

Julie Webb, Founder

Julie Webb has two decades of diverse insurance industry experience holding various leadership positions during that time. Most recently, she was the Principal at MPB Insurance, a scratch independent agency she started in March of 2020 (yes that March!).

Prior to that, she was the Regional Vice President for a large insurance agency network with responsibility for the Mid-Atlantic territory. She began her insurance career with GEICO in a Leadership Development Program where she ultimately built and led a regional sales and service call center in BuƯalo, New York. Julie holds both her CIC and CPCU designations and is a proud graduate of the University of Pittsburgh where she studied business.
A strong advocate for women in insurance, Julie led the Women’s Leadership Network at MPB and founded a local chapter of the Women’s Business League to provide a space for professional women to network and grow together. In addition to this, she serves as the Chair of the Board for Big Brothers Big Sisters of South-Central PA and enjoys volunteering with Girl Scouts, Girls on the Run, and Junior Achievement. In these roles, she’s committed to helping younger generations reach their full potential (and sprinkling a little bit of
insurance awareness on top, too!).
It's her advocacy work that led her to found JMW Collective, a leadership consulting practice focused on the insurance space. Through group and individual coaching, workshops, and speaking engagements, Julie is on a mission to empower organizations and leaders to design a thriving industry that is profitable, inclusive, and resilient for generations to come.
Julie also enjoys facilitating mastermind groups through MyNetwork and teaching the CIC Agency Management course through the Risk & Insurance Education Alliance.

She switched to independent in 2022 as a Client Executive for Hylant.

Angela founded SWAN in 2019 when she realized she was not the only woman to feel frustrated by traditional networking. “I was tired of leaving events feeling drained from meeting a sea of strangers. I imagined a community of women that built genuine relationships and encouraged each other. I love hearing success stories from fellow SWANs about the connections they have made and the impact SWAN has on their businesses and their lives.” SWAN currently has 3 chapters, and 2400 members.

Today, Angela trains sales teams on the essentials of a strong mindset, skilled feminine sales approach, networking with purpose and confidence, and so much more. Managing the Conflicts between Big Goals and Life Balance, with Angela Schalow

A busy woman's guide to live intentionally and avoid burnout.  You're ambitious.  You're building a career that matters and giving it all you've got.  In insurance, it's easy to give everything to your clients, your team, and your goals- until there's not enough left for your family and friends, not to mention yourself.

Your business goals don't exist in a vacuum, and neither does your burnout.  When one aspect of life is too far off balance, the rest start to wobble too.  And in an industry as demanding as insurance, it's easy to overinvest in one area while the rest quietly wear down.  Join us to learn how you can take control and increase your success, without sacrificing what's most important.  In this workshop we will discuss

  • Hidden costs of overspending our energy.
  • Common mistakes that keep us stuck in overwhelm.
  • How to overcome and prevent burnout.
  • A practical workbook to help you write your future with intention.
  • Additional tools to support your goals.

3:15 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.    Wrap Up
