LOC111412 How Insurance Policies are Interpreted
Date: November 14, 2012
Location: Pioneer State Mutual Insurance Co- Flint

The words employed in an insurance policy have unique and special meaning,

making the policy a “hyper-technical” legal contract. It is incumbent upon

the insurance professional to understand the insurance policies they sell.

This course will examine how insurance policies are formatted, and how they

should be read and analyzed to ensure that comprehensive coverage is being

provided. Specifically, attendees will learn the methodologies for analyzing

policy language and identifying language that may be ambiguous or obscure

insurance coverage.
