Michigan Required CE Hours
For All Licenses: Each renewal period requires 24 CE credit hours. Three (3) of those hours must be Ethics. A renewal period (term) is every 2 years from the date of the agent's birth month and year.
Requirements for Long Term Care (LTC): Agents must complete LTC training from an insurer that sells, solicits, or negotiates long-term care DIFS approved LTC program. Please note: the LTC insurer an agent represents may have additional requirements.
Requirements for Flood Insurance Training: To sell flood insurance, an agent must satisfy the minimum education requirement by taking a one-time-only, 3-hour course affiliated with the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP).

If you must cancel your registration, you will receive a refund minus 25% of the registration fee. No refunds will be given to those who attend only part of a program, or are no-shows. Registrations cannot be transferred from one program to another. Registrations may be transferred to other agency personnel without a fee; however, MAIA must be notified prior to the event.
